Carnivore Meat Company (based in Green Bay, WI) is voluntarily recalling a single limited lot of Vital Essentials Frozen Chicken Patties Entrée for dogs due to potential Salmonella contamination (bacteria commonly associated with fresh and frozen poultry).
The affected product was distributed in CA, FL, GA, RI, TX and WA and has a “Best By” date of 20161108 (11/08/16).
No customer complaints have been reported and no other product manufactured by Carnivore is involved in this voluntary recall.
If you have an opened 6 lb. bag of Vital Essentials Frozen Chicken Patties, please dispose of the raw food in a safe manner by securing it in a covered trash receptacle.
